Macclesfield

Upton Grange is a fine, comfortable country house set in its own grounds, between Macclesfield and Prestbury, and thus benefits from being close to a bustling town centre and the rolling greenery of east Cheshire.  As with the other homes within the Trust, the emphasis at Upton Grange is firmly on providing the highest quality of care while respecting our residents' privacy, dignity and independence.  Upton Grange provides all the facilities you would expect from a well-run and well-staffed care home, with personal service and caring, friendly support 24 hours a day.

We have 23 rooms, plus a guest room where prospective residents can see for themselves what life at Upton Grange is like, all with en suite facilities.  Residents are free to furnish their rooms themselves if they wish.

At Upton Grange, we organise outside trips, excursions and visits of all kinds, and the dial-a-ride bus service calls at our door.  In addition, the hairdresser, chiropodists, and the mobile library  call regularly.  Physiotherapy exercises, 'music and movement' classes, and relaxation classes are also regularly held at Upton Grange.

Residents first see the spacious, light and welcoming hallway of Upton Grange (right).

Residents take their main meals in our spacious and cheery dining room.

The informal setting highlights the excellent quality of the food, prepared by our own chef.

Our light and airy lounge contains a TV, a video and a piano.

We also have a second lounge containing a TV, or residents can watch the programmes of their choice in their rooms.

Here is one of our rooms.

In this case the resident has furnished it with her own possessions, though we also provide fully furnished accommodation.

Upton Grange's gardens (left) are a delightful place to visit at any time of the year.

The gardens are complemented by the summer house (below and below left), where residents can enjoy the flowers, fresh air and sunshine.

The courtyard provides a different kind of open space where residents can meet and socialise with each other.
